The Friday shop

Today is the start of my weekend so I did what I enjoy best - went shopping. Rach and I hit up Savers (no surprises there) and didn't find much but I scored some great high-waited skinny jeans for $4.99. Then, as is tradition, we headed to Colonnades, grabbed a Boost juice and checked out the bargains. I bought a leopard print body suit from Valleygirl for $9.95 and a pair of black (glorified) leggings from Cotton On for $14.95 (with a cheeky staff discount from Rach). Good day, would have loved to buy more but I'm looking for such specific items that it makes me fussy and unlikely to settle for less (which is probably a good thing).

Today's shopping outfit (sans hat): Quirky Circus shorts, Dotti tank, op shop jacket, scarf as a belt and customised Rubi boots.

Newly purchased bodysuit and jeans with recently pruchased op shop belt and old fave platform sandals.

Inspiration

I love the mix of prints and trends. Who knew tribal, galaxy, leopard print and denim could work so well together?

I love a floral bathing suit. The retro halter and high-waited style is always a winner.

Unexpected pairings are so great, because how many people would think to wear a boho-chic dress with old man socks and garters?

Black lipstick looks fantastic on some. On me, I say it would look terrible. I'm also thinking I should make myself a cut-out skull singlet like this.

There's nothing I love more than a messy up-do. Gorgeous.

Spring Transition

At work we're getting new stock in daily, and particularly some great basic pieces for Spring/Summer that would suit any outfit. In addition to this we're marking down a lot of Autumn/Winter stuff that can still be worn into the warmer months. I created a lookbook to show how you can mix and match basic pieces to keep up with the changing seasons.

Spring Transition

As I work for Betts, it would be remiss of me not to recommend pairing the above pieces with the Poppie wedge (available in black/mushroom and currently on sale for $62.99) or the new Lynx wedge (a personal favourite, available in black/nude and $89.99). Both shoe styles look great on their own or paired with over the knee or frill socks.
