On repeat

I've been really bad with keeping up with my personal blog (business blogging takes over). I thought I would share my current musical obsessions.

On repeat this week:

The Fugees - The Score
Key tracks: Fu-gee-la, Ready or Not, Cowboys, Zealots.

Die Antwoord - $O$ & Ten$Ion
Key Tracks: Fatty Boom Boom, So What?, Baby's On Fire, I Fink U Freeky, Rich Bitch, Very Fancy.

Also, hubby introduced me to this today: V.A.S.T. - Touched:

What have you got on repeat at the moment?

Yesterday I spent the day catching up on work, had lunch with Dad and visited a fantastic, labyrinthine bookstore in Blackwood (and only bought one book!). Dad and I also accidentally wore navy bomber jackets, so we were quite the coordinated father and daughter duo.

New shoes courtesy of Betts. I'm loving the chunky sandals this season for day and night wear. I'm wearing 'Blaze' ($89.99), which comes in black and white.

Outfit: Denim Jacket - op shop | Bomber jacket - Ladakh (from 10 years ago!) | Sleeveless top - Supre | Pants - Temt

"I like my body because it's magic."

An inspiring photo set that almost brought a tear to my eye.

By the age of 13, 53 percent of girls say they are unhappy with their bodies. When were they happy? In order to find out, Marie C. photographed and interviewed girls between the ages of four and eight and asked them what they liked about their bodies. These girls share wisdom the rest of us have forgotten.

"What do you like about your body?"

Tommy Edison will brighten your day

Feeling a bit crap? Tommy Edison's videos will make you smile and help you get a little bit of perspective on your own life.

Tommy has been blind since birth and makes videos about his life, responds to viewer questions and requests and also critiques films. This is one of my favourite videos of his:

What cheers you up on the Internet?

Selling on eBay

Hi friends, I have a bunch of stuff for sale on eBay, why not grab yourself a bargain?!

New things. I'm a material girl.

I've acquired new things, not surprisingly for someone who shops multiple times a week. I have issues. I was rewarded for my efforts at work with a few $100 vouchers, some of which I spent on one of the new holographic bags which have arrived at Betts. I could not buy the bag fast enough, I love shiny things and couldn't wait to own something holographic. You can buy it too, it's currently 30% off!

Betts 'Essential' bag.
Jazzing up my semi-corporate outfit. Jacket: Valleygirl, top: Supre, pants: Asos
Grabbed a bargain from Myer, only $9!

Trying out my new eyeshadow palette. Need some practice with application and blending bold colours.

Thanks to Buzzfeed, I just had to share this article on Photoshop hacks. Being someone who knows a little bit about Photoshop and can handle the basics, I'm always keen to learn more and make my blog pics more interesting! I'm especially keen to try out the Instagram-style filters.

Hi friends, long time no post, hey?

Well, the last few months have been busy for me and I apologise for my absence. On March 16 I married the greatest guy in the world. The following week we celebrated the wedding of some dear friends. We then jetted off on our honeymoon for three glorious and exhausting weeks in Thailand and Cambodia. On our return we had two weeks to find a new residence, pack and move.

I find myself getting simultaneously carried away and overwhelmed with life. It's fun, its tiring, it's sad, it's confusing, it's awesome.

Hopefully I can resume posting regularly and getting involved with the blogging community!

Creeping around

Shirt: eBay $15, skirt: Cotton On (via op shop) $6

Shoes: 'Creeps' (by Lipstik, bought at Betts for Her) $89.99

As you can see, I'm not a fan of ironing my clothes.

Have to do my creepers up real tight, like a goober. Narrow feet = need shorter laces.

Happy Wednesday!
